What's a Meetup?
Meetups are casual, live video gatherings where people come together to chat about a Cinejoy film or event. You can join one that someone else is hosting, or create your own — it’s up to you!
Can I Host One?
Absolutely. Whether you're an artist in the film or an audience member who just wants to connect, you're welcome to host a Meetup. Pick a Cinejoy Showcase or Spotlight event you love, schedule your date and time, and invite folks to join. Cinejoy helps with the rest.
How It Works
When hosting, you’ll need a Zoom or GatherTown link (your choice). During the form, you’ll add that link, list your guests (we ask that you invite 50% yourself, Cinejoy brings the rest), and provide a short description of the gathering. Reminders & Time Zones
When you RSVP, we’ll send you confirmation and reminder emails before the Meetup begins. Everything is adjusted to your timezone, and you can even add the event to your calendar directly.
