What is Cinejoy?
Cinejoy is an online film and live event experience hosted on the Creatics platform. It brings you the joy of cinema, artists, and community through movies, premieres, and interactive events — all accessible from anywhere in the world. Cinejoy combines live and on-demand screenings, meetups, symposiums, and creative engagement into one seamless experience. Currently Cinejoy occurs in a festival(s) format. In the future, ongoing opportunities will augment these festivals.
How is Cinejoy different from Creatics?
Creatics is the host platform. Cinejoy is one of the premier experiences on Creatics — focused entirely on films, live film premiere events, symposiums, and community empowerment.
When does Cinejoy happen?
Cinejoy is growing from one annual event (Cinejoy featuring the films and artists of Cinequest) to include monthly and eventually ongoing experiences. See for Coming Soon event announcements. The next Cinejoy featuring the artists and films of Cinequest will occur March 24–31, 2026.
Do I need to register to experience Cinejoy?
Yes. Creatics host platform registration is quick and free. Your Creatics account doubles as your Cinejoy registration, allowing you to log in and purchase tickets or passes for movies and events. Please click here https://creatics.org/signup to signup or signin.
What is the difference between the Cinejoy Showcase and Spotlight sections?
Cinejoy offers two ways to experience films and interact with their artists — each unique and exciting:
Showcase: Watch films on-demand (VOD — Video On Demand). You can view movies anytime during the festival(s). You can purchase tickets to individual movies or enjoy everything by getting an All-Access Pass. The movies info pages provide special interactions with the Artists and opportunities to rate and vote for the Audience Favorites. Your Passport tracks your festival experiences and allows for connectivity with like-minded community and their thoughts and recommendations.
Spotlight: Join live, scheduled events that capture the excitement of a real movie premiere — complete with red carpet moments, Q&A sessions with the filmmakers and cast, plus live community interaction. You can attend a Spotlight event by purchasing an individual Spotlight event ticket or by choosing an All-Access Pass. Your Passport tracks your festival experiences and allows for connectivity with like-minded community and their thoughts and recommendations.
Should I choose the All Access Pass or individual tickets?
The All Access Pass is the best way to experience Cinejoy. It gives you unlimited access to all Showcase films and Spotlight live events in one convenient package — no need to purchase tickets one by one. You save money, unlock exclusive experiences, and enjoy everything Cinejoy has to offer without limits. If you plan to watch more than one movie or attend more than one event, the All Access Pass is by far the most exciting and rewarding choice. It also gives you access to exclusive features like pass holder’s watchlist and many more.
How do I attend a Spotlight event?
Log in at the scheduled time and go to the event page. These events are live, so join a few minutes early to experience everything, including the Red carpet, live Q&A and community chat. Click here to know more about their schedule - https://creatics.org/cinejoy/premiere/lineup. Your My Tickets page and/or your Watchlist allow you track what Events and Films you have access.
How do I watch Showcase movies?
Showcase movies are available on-demand. Simply log in, browse the Showcase section, buy the ticket and watch any available movie anytime during the festival. Your My Tickets page and/or your Watchlist allow you track what Events and Films you have access.
What are Meetups?
Meetups are informal online gatherings where you can connect with other fans, artists, and the Cinejoy community to discuss movies, share thoughts, or just have fun together. This is the best part to enjoy the festival and meet new people including the casts of various films. You can click here to know more about the schedules or to create your own meetup - https://creatics.org/cinejoy/meetup.
What are Passports?
Passports are a fun way to earn “stamps” as you watch movies and attend events. Your passport becomes a record of your journey and helping you connect with like-minded movie lovers.
Do you have an App?
Cinejoy is fully available on web mobile and web desktop as well as via the Creatics App. Purchases, however, must occur on the web https://creatics.org/cinejoy wheares browsing, viewing, and experiences can occur either on the web or the App.
Is Cinejoy available globally?
Yes. Cinejoy is a virtual experience open to everyone, everywhere in the world. All you need is an internet connection and your Creatics account.
What do I need to participate?
You’ll need a Creatics account, a device with internet access, and, if applicable, a ticket or pass for the films and events. We recommend good headphones or speakers for the best experience, especially for Spotlight events and Meetups.
Where can I find the schedule for events?
The schedule for live Spotlight events, Meetups, Symposiums, and Showcase viewins will be posted on their Cinejoy section pages accessed via the main page https://creatics.org/cinejoy.
What if I miss a Spotlight event?
Spotlight events are live and designed to be experienced in real time for the full excitement of the premiere, including the live Q&A and community interaction. However, you do have a 5-hour viewing window starting from the event’s start time, so you can still watch it if you join within that period. Please note that Spotlight events cannot be rewatched once the viewing window closes.
In contrast, Showcase movies are available on-demand and can be watched at any time during the festival, at your convenience.
